Calm harbour representing Bondhaven's approach

About Bondhaven

Steadiness for Every Household We Serve

We started Bondhaven because families in Bangkok needed a calm, accessible place for general household-planning information — with no pressure and no jargon.

How Bondhaven Came to Be

Bondhaven was established in Bangkok Noi in 2019 by a small team with backgrounds in community education and household administration. The founding idea was straightforward: too many families in the city had questions about household planning — documents, folders, official processes — but nowhere to get a clear, non-advisory overview in plain English. Professional services were expensive and often overwhelming. The internet gave conflicting answers.

We set out to fill that gap with something quieter and more accessible — a room, a facilitator, a printed sheet, and time to ask questions. No personal advice, no hard sell, no jargon. Just solid general information and a steady hand pointing toward the official sources that matter.

Since then we have run sessions for hundreds of Bangkok families and partnered with several community centres across the city to extend that reach. The work stays the same: calm, clear, and strictly educational.

Our Mission

To give every household in Bangkok access to clear, general family-planning information — so that moving forward feels manageable, not overwhelming.

Our Vision

A Bangkok where every family — whatever its size, shape, or situation — can find the information it needs in a language it understands, from a source it can trust.

Our Values

  • Clarity — plain language in everything we produce
  • Honesty — we state clearly what we are and are not
  • Warmth — every family is welcomed without judgment
  • Responsibility — we always direct people to the right official channels

Our Standards & Approach

Every session, toolkit, and community programme is developed and delivered according to these core principles.

Accuracy First

All resource materials are reviewed against current official sources before each publication cycle to keep general information reliable and up to date.

Clear Boundaries

We are explicit about the limits of what we offer. Personal advice is never given. Participants are always directed to qualified professionals or official bodies for specific guidance.

Privacy by Default

We collect only the contact details needed to book and deliver our programmes. No personal family information is retained after a session concludes.

Plain-Language Commitment

Every written and spoken element — from session slides to toolkit labels — is tested against a plain-language checklist before being used with participants.

Ethical Partnerships

Community centre partners are onboarded with a full briefing on the non-advisory nature of the programme and our expectations around responsible facilitation.

Regular Content Review

Toolkit templates and session materials are updated at least once per quarter, or sooner if a significant change in official guidance requires it.

Family Information Services in Bangkok

Bondhaven operates from Bangkok Noi and serves households across central Bangkok and the wider metropolitan area. Our core focus is straightforward: families need general, clearly explained information about household-planning topics, and they benefit from having that information presented in an organised, non-pressured setting.

The three programmes we offer — a question-and-answer information session, a personal paperwork toolkit, and a community centre delivery programme — were each designed around distinct household needs. Some families want to sit with a facilitator and ask questions. Others prefer a self-guided toolkit they can use at home. Community organisations need a structured delivery framework they can run independently.

None of our programmes constitute personal, legal, or financial advice. That distinction matters to us and to every participant. We work hard to keep the boundary clear, and to make sure every session ends with participants knowing exactly which official channel to approach for the specific help they need.

Working from the Borommaratchachonnani Road corridor, we are well placed to serve families in Bangkok Noi, Bangkok Yai, Thonburi, and neighbouring districts. Sessions can also be arranged at partner community centre venues across the city.
